Phase 5/8 ยท Evidence Gathering

Three physical checks before I can commit to a repair recommendation. All at the MAF/IAT sensor in the intake tube between the air filter box and the throttle body:

Unplug the MAF/IAT connector. Inspect the connector pins for green/white corrosion, bent/spread pins, water or oil intrusion.
Pull the sensor. Visibly fouled with oil film, dust cake, or debris?
Inspect the air filter and intake ducting. Filter properly seated? Cracks in the intake tube?
03 ยท THE THREE PHYSICAL CHECKS

From terminal to your hands.

Pin numbers. Sensor names. Connector locations. In priority order. You walk to the bay already knowing where to point the multimeter.

Repair, then re-read the flags.

Olympus re-runs the self-test. The J2012 flags update right there in the conversation. The failed-this-cycle flag flips from true to false. Your repair is documented before the customer pulls out of the bay.
